Fuckery — a framework about constraint and emergence. Structure forms under constraint, then becomes the constraint on whatever forms next. Named so that nobody genuflects at it. v0.51, CC BY 4.0.
The Constraint Protocol — people call it a ledger, which is accurate and leaves out most of it. Yes, it keeps a signed record nobody can quietly edit. It also makes each party say in advance what it will not do, keeps the witness separate from the participants and the judging separate from the witnessing, lets a declared constraint hold back certain work and note anyone who tries to skip it, lets anyone dispute anything, and lets the past be judged again without being rewritten. People, companies and software get treated the same. v0.5, a public working draft, run once so far.
The DAX Foundation publishes the protocol. It holds the part a company should not: the mission, and the constraint it answers to — DAX, the preservation and expansion of life, humanity, and consciousness — kept apart from the company that builds the infrastructure. Its site carries the definitions everything else here runs on.
